OUR DOMESTIC CARRIAGE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Upon you or your agreed adult agent signing the Inventory and Condition Report (“ICR”) at uplift, you will have agreed to all terms in our Contract Confirmation Letter to you and the following:

1. Quote, Booking and Packing:
Your Relocation Service will be based on the quote provided to you and confirmed above subject to the goods remaining the same in the ICR at uplift. You must agree an uplift time with us on a business day at uplift between 7.00am and 2.00pm. Other booking times will incur an additional cost to you. The Hannan’s Guarantee will only apply to goods packed by us save for any damage or destruction to the packing carton caused by us where you have packed the goods and Hannan shall have no liability under such Guarantee or otherwise if your Plasma/LCD Television or bicycle is not packed in our Plasma or Bicycle Box, as applicable. Plasma cartons prices start at $130.00 each.

2. Uplift and Storage:
You must sign the ICR after Uplift of your goods and this will remain the record for the Contract and, where applicable, the Hannan’s Guarantee and any Storage by us in the course of completing your Removal and Delivery.

3. Delivery:
We will arrange a delivery time with you between 7.00am and 2.00pm on a business day at delivery or at another time upon payment of an additional fee. After we have delivered you must sign the ICR to signify completion of our contract save only for any claim you may make under the Hannan’s Guarantee as set out below where it applies.

4. The Hannan’s Guarantee and Claims:
When the fee is paid, we Guarantee up to the Replacement Value Amount (“RVA”) that if during the uplift, carriage, storage or delivery any of your goods are lost, damaged or destroyed we will, except as set out herein, pay for repairs or replace with a similar item or compensate you for your loss or damage, in all cases having regard to the condition and age of the item at uplift and up to the RVA provided that from any agreed payment to you or a third party we will deduct $200.00 as our fee and to cover minor or frivolous claims that do not respect the care and attention we devote to your move. To the extent permitted by law, performance of the Hannan’s Guarantee is the limit of our obligation to you. Any goods for which a payment is made to you or a third party shall become and remain our property.

Our Guarantee does not cover loss or damage caused by fraud, unconscionable conduct, mould, moths, rats or other vermin or in respect of certain items or effects not normally regarded as household goods or effects or if dangerous in transit or storage, including jewellery, precious stones, gems or metals, bullion, silver, coins or money, stamp and other collections or valuable documents, items in storage, animals, livestock or plants, mechanical or electrical failure where there is no visible external damage to the item, items forming part of a pair or a set except to the proportionate part of the value to the whole or any personal claims relating to the loss of any item carried, any antiques, works of art or irreplaceable items not agreed with us prior to the uplift and usually only where an acceptable third party valuation is provided prior to uplift.

All claims must be made to us by facsimile to 07 5452 5486 or email to claims@hannanremovals.com and be received by no later than 5.00pm on the day being 10 business days after delivery of the goods to you. We will immediately forward you a claim form requesting full details of the claim and receipts for purchase, photographic or other evidence of the loss or damage to assist us to determine the RVA for the claim. We will not entertain claims where the repair or replacement has not been approved by us in writing in advance or where you have received repair, replacement or compensation for your loss or damage from a third party.

5. General Terms and Payments:
We are carrier prepared only to carry your goods or store them on these Terms and Conditions and offering our Hannan’s Guarantee where agreed with you. If you choose to pay for your Removal by credit card, we will charge an administration fee of $2.50 per payment plus 2.5% of the amount paid. Naturally, we require prompt payment of all moneys due to us. In the unlikely event payment is not made when due we shall advise you in writing at your address last known to us and we shall have the right to sell your goods by public auction without further notice to you and to deduct all moneys due to us (including holding and sale costs and interest at 12% per annum on the moneys due) from the proceeds of sale and we shall advise you of any surplus which shall constitute a debt due to you. Hannan’s is not a common carrier or a bailee of your goods and to the maximum extent permitted by law will not be liable to you for damage to or loss of your goods or otherwise. Any changes in agreed uplift or delivery days and times, restricted, difficult or dangerous access or entry situations or stairwell of lift access may incur additional charges.
